10 fingers and 10 toes...

Today we had another doctor's appointment for beanie baby Johnson and we had a big ultrasound too! It was SO wild to see him or her moving around like crazy in there when I only feel it every once in awhile. The ultrasound tech was in FULL support of us not finding out the sex - she said it's way more fun that way... we agree! :) We did go back and forth even on the way to the doctor's office but decided to stay strong and that it will be so worth it in the end to have such a great surprise! She told us the heartbeat was 158 - any guesses? You can vote on the top of the sidebar as to if you think it's a boy or girl!
The ultrasound tech showed us the four chambers of the heart, a bunch of other organs and it's sweet little arms and legs that were flailing around like wildly! She said everything looked great and was measuring right on track - on her paperwork she had my due date as August 3rd - I thought I had been told August 4th but either way, it's pretty much the same and it will still be blazing hot :).
Here are some photos of our little guy or gal...
10 sweet little toes!
Waving goodbye to you all for now!

Never say never... but....

No, this post isn't about Justin Bieber or his movie... sorry... :)

I know you should never say never... but I'd truly like to say that I will never again paint kitchen cabinets. (At one point today I said I never wanted to paint anything ever again but I doubt that will hold true.) We bought the house knowing we wanted to make a lot of updates and here we are, almost a year later, and the kitchen and kitchen cabinets are finally painted! It was quite a transformation and we are really excited about it. I am usually nervous about colors - I can't pick them out and I can't commit to anything bright or anything not neutral but this is quite the color and I really like it! I will say it will be awhile before we tackle big paint jobs again - I am SO exhausted! The kitchen was really tedious just because there were 3 windows and 3 different door frames, not to mention my new nemesis... WOOD PANELING. Ugh.

Anyway, here are some before and afters!
Before ... (excuse the mess :)
Another before - testing out some colors
My hard working partner in crime!
More of a distraction than a help... but still cute.
After!!!

Ahhh... so tired! That was really a lot of work! I'm enjoying a well deserved, small bowl of ice cream and laying on the couch as I write this. I think I can hear my bed calling my name!

So. Sweet.

I just had to steal this from my sister's blog - what a sweet picture of our Dad with his little Claire bear. He's such a wonderful Grandpa!

Almost halfway there!

(Please ignore my ugly shirt - it's Read Across America Day tomorrow so I'm wearing it to promote for all of our Dr. Seuss activities we have in store for the kiddos tomorrow! :)

Just Dance!

We were introduced to this game by our friends the Comforts and were blessed with it as a wedding gift from our friends the Findlays. This wii game has provided lots of entertainment for us in the past several months. A few weeks ago, we had our Bible study over after church for root beer floats and more importantly, Just Dance. Basically, in order to play this game you have to be willing to make a fool out of yourself, plain and simple. It is fun to play AND fun to WATCH people play and just about anyone can do it. The truth is, all you really have to do is move your right arm, since that's what the controller tracks on the game. It's not as much fun though, unless you REALLY get into it and dance your pants off. Here are some shots from the night...
