First bath at home!

Lainey and Wyatt enjoyed a wild bath time the other night.  Of course, like all newborns, Wyatt was less than thrilled.  Big sis looked on and watched some but mostly played and did her own thing in the big tub.  

Why doesn't he love bathtime like I do?!?

Always must sample the bubbles.  

Poor guy.  Such torture!

It worked out well for all 4 of us to be in the bathroom with Jed tending to Lainey in the tub and me hurriedly washing Wyatt in the little tub on the floor.  Beautiful chaos!

Splish Splash!

Lainey has really come to love bath time. Really, she's just pretty go-with-the-flow no matter what we're doing but tonight she was giving us some good splashes and Jed grabbed the video camera. I think one of the funniest parts of the video is Jed and I in unison yelling "WOO!" when she splashes and then when Jed scolds our dog Simon and tells him that it's her first splash. It's pretty funny to hear some of the ridiculous things and sounds that come out of my mouth in an effort to entertain my daughter. I'm sure there are many more moments like that in our future and Lainey will be totally embarassed by us some day!

Hanging Out

Lainey was just happy as a clam hanging out in her swing this morning...
I went to pick her up when she had had enough and no wonder... a very stinky surprise for her mom so we went right into the tub! This was Lainey's first time in the big tub at home. How I managed this on my own, I'm not sure but she was LOVING it. I'm so thankful she no longer screams through bath time! I can't wait for her to start playing with her fun bathtub toys.
