We are ONE short month away from Lainey's 1st birthday! I'd like to call this little photo shoot "mission impossible!" The girl is SO busy and has NO interest in sitting still or looking at her momma for a picture! I wish she would... she makes the most hilarious and adorable faces.
Lainey is almost 21 lbs, wearing size 3 diapers, and 9 month and some 12 month clothes. She is an expert crawler, couch cruiser and eater. Truly the only food she's tried that she really didn't care for so far has been pickles but she'll eat just about anything we are eating and she will let you know if you aren't feeding her or sharing fast enough! She is back to enjoying bath time and we have had several successful outings to the splash park. Yeah!
We have been done nursing for 2 weeks now and it is going MUCH better than I anticipated. When I began trying to wean her a few months ago, she just wasn't ready. We took away feedings slowly and she handled it like a champ. We are really looking forward to starting milk soon. She sleeps 11 or so hours a night and takes 2 good naps during the day. (Are you bored yet? This is more for my recollection and memory than your enjoyment... sorry!)
Had to do some pretty sweet photo shopping since little Miss Destructo took most of the letters off the wall. |
Lainey's newest trick is giving kisses! It is just about the sweetest thing you've ever seen. She even gives her monkey lovey kisses, she gives herself kisses in the mirror... it's adorable. I am loving her little personality as it emerges more and more. She is her father's daughter and just loves to be silly and FUN. She most certainly does things just to be goofy and get your attention and it's so cute. She LOOOVES her doggy Simon and if mom and dad aren't watching her closely enough, she'll make a bee line for his water bowl and splash around in it (gross, I know).
I'm done Mom! |
SEE YA LATER ALLIGATOR! |
The older Lainey gets, the closer we are to meeting her little brother too. Since she's 11 months, that means we are only about 4 months away from his arrival! Exciting! We're so blessed!
